I just stumbled across these awesome pieces by Inge Jacobsen, a mixed media artist from Galway Ireland currently based in West Sussex England. Her work deals with the how women are portrayed in the media. I'm not normally one for embroidery but I have to admit her Vogue front covers are awesome. They've even featured them at their site. Hastings paste-up artist and painter Mike Winnard sent me over a link to his groovy Spacecakes tee based on one of his recent pieces. Part of a set of 3 tees being sold with all proceeds going to the NSPCC. It's all about fatties on the moon, or rather the technological dualities and vagaries of the modern world. |
