End of the Line, along with Distillery Productions and Toby Summerskill, have filmed the first 3D Graffiti Time-lapse. This was made in order to document the production of a painted promo for Disney's Tron: Legacy this is the final 2D edit. This project was filmed in December 2010 and January 2011, in a warehouse in Shoreditch with the exterior shots taken from the rooftops of East London. It was filmed over 4 days, it shows the execution of a 20-metre mural that was painted on huge canvases for installation on Great Eastern Street. The time-lapse was made using 2 Canon 5D MK2 cameras and a specially constructed 3D rig provided by Inition.

Ronald Ventura

Ronald Ventura

Philippine artist Ronald Ventura has garnered enormous international attention in recent years. He is noted for paintings featuring complex layering, combining images and styles raging from hyperrealism to cartoons and graffiti — as well as for a significant body of sculptural work. He takes the layering process as a metaphor for the multifaceted national identity of the Philippines. Over the centuries, the profound influences of various occupying powers – Spain, Japan, and the United States – along with the underlying indigenous culture, have produced a complex and at times uneasy sense of identity. Ventura explores this historical and psychic phenomenon through a dialogue of images evoking East and West, high and low, old and young.

He is currently represented by Tyler Rollins Fine Art, 529 West 20 Street, 10W, New York, NY  10011.

Vehicle Portraiture by Kevin Cyr

Kevin Cyr Vehicle Portraiture

You're probably already familiar with Brooklyn artist Kevin Cyr's amazing eco vehicles. His art first caught my eye with his rather amusing yet poignant Camper Bike and Camper Kart. However I only recently discovered his paintings including amazing set of particularly unkempt street vehicle and van series of portraits. So meticulous in detail and colour they almost constitute an ode or perhaps even a visual eulogy to the combustion engine. Each removed from their context in true Duchampian style, and presented as art in all their ugly glory. Each is a mixed media work comprising of screen print and oils on board.
