Masakatsu Sashie @ Art HK 2011 Posted: 25 May 2011 05:23 AM PDT Masakatsu Sashie's exhibiting his latest piece from tomorrow until the 29th May at Asia's premier art fair Art HK 2011 in Hong Kong, and it's bloody brilliant. There's been talk of psychic visions for disaster themed piece painted before the wake of the massive Japan quake and tsunami.Who knows, could be. Still, it's kind of Cronenberg I s'pose. He's been painting strange conglomerated globes for a while, such as his piece 'De Facto Standard for The Armory Show last year highly intricately painted at a large scale (64″ x 76″). Due to the time each work takes to paint a Masakatsu Sashie it's a rare experience to witness his work in the flesh. The venue: 1 Expo Dr, Wan Chai, Hong Kong |
