| Yasuhiro Sakurai’s Disembodied Heads Posted: 23 May 2011 06:16 AM PDT       Japanese sculptor Yasuhiro Sakurai's amazing Cypress wood and cloisonné sculptures feature eerily disembodied female heads, complete with long hair are a sight. Beautiful forms in soft wood, golden hued and very luscious. I have little info on the artist, except that he's represented by Galleria Grafica Tokyo and attended the Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music. Still, lovely stuff. |
