Belgian street artist ROA famed for his vast and delicately detailed animal murals is exhibiting his latest works at the White Walls Gallery in San Francisco until the 9th. Street artist and muralist ROA his highly respected in his field, his fascinating murals of animals secreted in hidden places such as beneath bridges and on the walls of derelict buildings hidden from the planet has built him a mighty following of doting Reams of photos of his work regularly appear on famous urban art blogs like Vandalog, Wooster Collective, Unurth, and a literal pile of London newspapers and blogs that recently rose to the challenged and defended his right to creative expression when one of his street piece's in Hackney faced removal by the local council late last year.

This is ROA’s very first project with White Walls, and his first solo gallery exhibition in the Bay Area. The exhibition is free and open to the public for viewing through May 7.

Hyuro

Ever heard of Hyuro? Not many have, which is at least one good reason to feature some of the murals by Argentinian-born, Valencia, Spain based Hyuro. Working as a solo artist as well as in collaboration with big names like Escif or Sam3, Hyuro has built an impressive street-based collection of highly illustrative painted murals on walls across Western Europe, particular in Spain. With hints of ROA, especially in the detail, but there are some interesting hints of surrealism and even primeval composition. Street art with a definite emphasis on the 'art'.
