Melbourne based artist JKB Fletcher has released an incredible selection of photorealistic close-up paintings at Behance. His Carbon Black series 'In The Flesh' is astounding…

Here's a quote from the artist, more usually known for his lifelike superhero paintings ""People are constantly asking me the same question, I say that it could be to do with the human and relatable side of the hero, or it could be something to do with who we look up to as our heroes, or that possibly the subjective personification of the hero is one of the most human things about us and keeps us striving for constant improvement (or destruction for that matter), or it could be to do with a slight obsession I have with superheroes and human flesh".
